Kid's Say The Strangest Things

When you work with children you can always count on humour, out of the mouths of the children around you. Your not sure where they come up with these ideas, but it is always from an experience or over heard conversation that can put partial phrases and ideas into a child’s thoughts and vocabulary. The following a a few humourous examples from children on specific topis:

HOW CAN A STRANGER TELL IF TWO PEOPLE ARE MARRIED?

You might have to guess, based on whether they seem to be yelling at the same kids. - Derrick, age 8

WHAT DO YOU THINK YOUR MOM AND DAD HAVE IN COMMON?

Both don't want any more kids. - Lori, age 8

HOW WOULD THE WORLD BE DIFFERENT IF PEOPLE DIDN'T GET MARRIED?

There sure would be a lot of kids to explain, wouldn't there? - Kelvin, age 8

In the child care field it is our jobs to guide children, but the humour of innocence is beautiful.

The Dairy Case

Calcium is the foundation on which strong bones and teeth are built, so over time a diet low in calcium can increase your risk of developing brittle bone disease (osteoporosis).

The best way to safeguard your bones is to pack in enough calcium before your mid-to-late 20s and thereafter eat a well balanced diet with plenty of weight-bearing activity like walking, running, aerobics, tennis, football and dancing which will strengthen your bones.
